Customer Reviews - Rustic Art Organic Sunscreen Lotion - 100 ml

Rustic Art , a brand that needs “NO INTRODUCTION” , has recently launched its premium range. One of its new entries is a sunscreen with an SPF of 20+. The packaging is really amazing. It does look like something really “CLASSY”. It has a pump and with each pump a very small quantity of it comes out. The lotion is light pinkish in colour. It has a very sweet yet strong fragrance. It is neither thick nor runny ; it has a very apt consistency , also its non greasy. As per skin type suitability is concerned, I believe it is more inclined towards dry skin. Oily skinned beauties may find it a little “TOO MUCH” in summers. Now coming to the most crucial facet which is efficacy, I will say its “GOOD, but not the BEST” . Indian genes have a fondness for “HIGH SPFs”. The higher the SPF , they believe , the more protected their skin will be . However it is not completely true. Ideal SPF for Indian facial skin ranges from 15-30. So don’t underestimate this sunscreen because of the low SPF. Also re-application of a sunscreen is a necessity in order to make it more effective. Anyways , SPF 20+ is just perfect . But yes , as nothing is perfect , so is this sunscreen . One of the highlights of this product is that it is priced at Rs.750 , for just 80mL. Well , this might deter many of you from buying it. But let me tell you , that practically its not “THAT PRICEY”. By practically , I mean that if you’ll do a market survey of “GENUINE” organic sunscreens [eg Soleo Organics (USDA certified) Rs1225 for 80gms] , you will discover that this product has been priced either at a competitive price or at a lower price. But yes with this the fact does not change , that it is for Rs.750 ( a whopping rise in Rustic Art’s products’ prices :p). I purchased it at an 8% discount from NM , so I would suggest you all to grab it before the stock finishes. Thanks NM :-) A plus point with this sunscreen is that it spreads very easily. So with just 2 pumps , I manage to cover my whole face with it. But yes , since I have a combination/sensitive skin type , I prefer to take a very small amount each time. So dry skinned females/males might need to “PUMP OUT” more :p On application, within 2 minutes , you will notice a slight glow on your face. Well, as per protection from sun is concerned , do not expect “DRAMATIC” effects. The best part is that it does not leave any white cast on the skin, which perhaps many sunscreens do. In my view point, this is a multi-purpose lotion. It’s an organic moisturizer with an additional quality of a sunscreen. But yes , because there are certain “MINUSES” like it is skewed towards a particular skin type , it is pricey and works good but not with excellence , I will rate it as 4. I hope it would do the “VERY BEST” to you all . Good Luck ! :-)

I have normal soon with mild oily t-zone. This product felt extremely heavy and sticky on my skin. After using it twice I noticed few rashes on my face. All I can say is people with my son type may find it very heavy as it leaves lot of oil behind. People with dry skin may benefit
